Hareline Mini Flat Fly Braid

Hareline Mini Flat Fly Braid is a thin, flat braid for forming bodies, segments and ribbing. Its shape lays flatter on the hook shank than a round cord, allowing slim bodies on nymphs, streamers and selected dry flies. The pearl finish adds an iridescent sheen to the surface.

Construction and use

Tie the braid in at the start of the body and wrap it in even, slightly overlapping turns. With this fine material, control thread tension so the braid is not cut or twisted. It can cover a complete body, serve as a single rib, or divide a body into segments. On nymphs and streamers it can be combined with dubbing, fibres or another braid to vary the profile and surface.
