Hareline Mono Nymph Eyes
Hareline Mono Nymph Eyes are lightweight eyes set on monofilament stalks for nymph, caddis-pupa and shrimp patterns. They give the fly a defined lateral profile while adding little weight to the front of the construction.
Construction and use
Tie the stalks along both sides of the hook shank, usually near the front of the fly, then cover the securing wraps with the body or head materials. Set the position before tightening the thread fully so the two eyes remain level and symmetrical. Match the size to the width of the pattern and the available space around the hook eye. Secure the monofilament firmly without excessive pressure or sharp bends that could change the eye alignment.
