Hareline Polar Dub

Hareline Polar Dub is a soft, very fine, long-fibre synthetic dubbing with translucent structure and subtle sparkle. Brushed out, it creates a light flowing veil around the hook and can suggest gills, antennae, delicate legs or a mobile part of a wing. Its reflection is softer and less metallic than the pronounced flash produced by standard Ice Dub.

Construction and use

Use selected fibres directly on thread for small bodies, while shrimp, bonefish flies and streamers are easier to form with a dubbing loop. The material brushes readily and can be swept back. It is also valuable in custom blends with natural fur whenever extra length, translucency and a controlled amount of reflected light are required.
