Hareline Pseudo Hair
Hareline Pseudo Hair consists of thin, bright synthetic fibres for building streamer wings and profiles. The material is 3.25 inches long and includes underfur that helps create a natural taper without extensive shaping. Its loose form makes it possible to blend colours, layer fibres and control wing volume according to the size and proportions of the fly.
Construction and use
Pseudo Hair can be used for streamer wings, backs, tails and lateral parts of baitfish patterns. Separate a small bundle, align the tie-in ends and secure it firmly along the hook shank. The underfur helps the material transition from a compact base to freer tips, so the whole bundle does not need to be cut immediately. After tying in, comb the fibres, build the taper through layering and trim the silhouette. Excessive density will reduce movement.
