Hareline Schlappen 5-7
Hareline Schlappen 5-7 is schlappen feather material for large flies, pike patterns and saltwater flies. Its soft, broad and often webby barbs create a visible profile, add bulk and move in the water. Use the feathers for mobile accents, collars and fuller sections near the head of a fly.
Construction and use
Tie in a feather as an individual accent or wind it to form a collar, tail or fuller head section. Choose the barb width to suit the hook size and the volume required by the pattern. Clear excess down from the base before tying to keep the tie-in clean and make the final shape easier to control.
