Hareline Select Goose Shoulder

Hareline Select Goose Shoulder consists of loose goose shoulder feathers, hand selected after dyeing. Their clearly defined barbs are useful for forming wings and other visible components on traditional flies. These shoulder feathers are suited mainly to wet flies and traditional salmon flies.

Construction and use

Depending on the individual feather and the pattern, use them for wings, cheeks, tails and other decorative sections. Choose each feather according to the required length and shape before trimming it. Hold the feather by the stem and secure the barbs progressively to preserve a clean outline and the delicate barbs. Selection after dyeing makes it easier to match the appearance of the feathers to the pattern.
