Hareline Shell Back

Hareline Shell Back consists of ready-cut shell-back pieces for building scud and shrimp bodies. Each piece is laid over a formed body and used as the dorsal cover, giving the fly a clean, controlled finish without preparing a continuous strip during tying.

Construction and use

Select Small, Medium or Large to suit the hook and the intended body profile. Centre the shell back over the formed body, then secure it with tying thread or ribbing. Apply even tension so the cover remains aligned and the final wraps hold it neatly in place.
