Hareline Silicone Flutter Legs
Hareline Silicone Flutter Legs are prepared, flat silicone strands in solid colours. Their broad face can be used for legs, feelers, tails or a moving accent, with the flat surface responding to current and fly movement. The ready-made tabs make it possible to control both the number of strands and their finished length without preparing a sheet.
Construction and use
Separate the required number of strands from the tab and tie them in at the selected point on the hook shank. Start with loose thread wraps to position the material, then tighten and trim the excess once the alignment is correct. Leave the tips straight or cut them to suit the pattern. Select the colour according to the body and fly size, and adjust the amount of exposed material when a restrained or more visible accent is required.
