Hedron Micro Flashabou
Hedron Micro Flashabou consists of narrow, flat reflective strands for building fly patterns. Its classic Flashabou construction produces a clear flash as a streamer moves, while the reduced width makes it suitable for smaller patterns and slim baitfish wings. Strands can be used singly, arranged in layers, or combined with fibres of different lengths and colours.
Construction and use
Use this material for streamer wings, backs, tails and lateral accents. Before tying, select a small bundle, even the tips and secure it firmly on the hook shank. Excess material can be shifted, spread into a fan or trimmed to shape after the tie-in. The narrow strands make it easier to control the amount of flash without making the pattern unnecessarily stiff or bulky.
- Format: flat reflective Flashabou strands in the narrower Micro format.
- Wing building: use small bundles and layer them to create a slim profile.
- Accent work: add individual strands along a streamer’s side, back or tail.
- Finishing: trim after securing the material, leaving the ends free to move in the water.
