J:Son Wing Material Caddis Pupa/Midge/Hopper

J:son Wing Material Caddis Pupa/Midge/Hopper is thin printed wing film for cutting and heat shaping. It is intended for wings and shell-like profiles in patterns representing caddis pupae, midges or hoppers. The printed material can be used as a single layer or combined with a neutral layer.

Construction and use

Choose an outline suited to the fly being tied and cut the component with a small margin around the edge. If the pattern calls for it, join the printed layer to a neutral layer and align both pieces. Shape the perimeter with a matching J:son wing burner; after cooling, trim the waste, position the wing on the hook shank and secure it with short, even thread wraps.
