Kate Mclaren (1) is a classic wet fly with a pronounced attractor character, intended for trout and grayling. Choose it in slightly higher or faster water when fish respond to a livelier presentation beneath the surface.

Fish it on a tight line across the current, then make a slow lift at the end of the drift. The barbless hook makes releasing fish easier.
