Loon Ergo Underfur Comb

Loon Ergo Underfur Comb is designed for preparing hair and fur before the material is secured to a hook. It helps separate soft underfur and short, loose fibres from the longer guard hair intended for the fly. This gives the tyer greater control over material selection before aligning the tips, arranging a wing or forming other components from natural hair.

Fine stainless-steel tines pass between the fibres and comb out unwanted fluff, including from more difficult or unruly patches of hide. The ergonomically shaped handle provides a stable grip and makes it easier to work through small amounts of material with controlled strokes. The tool does not cut the hair; it separates the fibres mechanically, reducing the amount of underfur left in the prepared bundle.
