Negnon Omega ZIP Waders
Negnon Omega ZIP Waders
Negnon Omega ZIP Waders are the highest model in the Negnon wader line. They have been developed for anglers who expect strong construction, high waterproofness and the comfort that comes from using a front zip. The waders are made entirely from four-layer fabric, so the stronger material works across the whole surface of the waders, not only in the lower part.
This is a solution used in more advanced waders in the medium segment. Omega ZIP is a model for anglers who want to choose the highest variant in the Negnon line: stronger, more comfortable and more complete than other Negnon models.
The construction of Omega ZIP uses materials and solutions typical of solid waders regarded as a standard in the higher range of the medium segment. The most important difference is the waterproof YKK AQUASEAL zip, which makes the waders easier to put on and take off and improves comfort during longer fishing trips.
The favourable price of Omega ZIP results from the direct brand-to-customer sales model. In practice, the angler receives waders made entirely from four-layer fabric, with a premium-class waterproof YKK AQUASEAL zip, modern design, a known source of origin and a price in which more of the value remains in the product itself, rather than in the traditional distribution chain.

It is a product for anglers who expect comfort, durability and proven components without a price increased by the traditional distribution chain.
1. Sizing and fitting before use
Choose the size according to the actual model’s size chart, taking body and foot measurements into account. Also allow for the clothing worn underneath the waders. Try on the waders with the clothing and boots you will use when wading. Check your freedom of movement: sit down, squat and lift a knee as if stepping up onto a high step. The fabric should not be under excessive tension at the crotch, knees or joins. Adjust the braces and belt. Waders that are too tight can cause excessive tension and damage to the fabric, particularly around the crotch, knees and seat. Waders that are too loose can lead to folds and increased friction, accelerating fabric wear. The neoprene socks must fit properly, without squeezing or bunching inside the wading boots.
2. Cleaning after use
Rinse off mud, sand and other dirt with clean water. After contact with salt water, rinse the waders thoroughly with fresh water. Remove sand from around the socks, guards and zips. Avoid vigorous scrubbing of the material and joins.
3. Washing
Always wash the waders in lukewarm water. Hot water can weaken glued joins, which may cause seam tape to peel away and damage the membrane laminate. We recommend gentle hand-washing with a detergent intended for membrane garments. Rinse detergent residues thoroughly. Do not use fabric softeners, bleach, solvents or aggressive cleaning agents. Do not machine-wash or dry-clean the waders. Always follow the care instructions on the label.
4. Drying
Dry both the outside and inside of the waders thoroughly, especially the insides of the neoprene socks. Dry them in a well-ventilated place, in the shade, away from heaters, flames and other sources of heat. Do not put wet waders in a sealed bag or leave them in a car.
5. Protecting the material and socks
Put on and remove the waders carefully, without pulling roughly on the material, socks or joins. Do not walk on the ground in neoprene socks alone—use suitable wading boots. Before putting on the boots, check that there is no sand or grit inside them.
6. Zip care — YKK AQUASEAL models
Rinse the zip regularly with clean, fresh water and remove sand and other dirt. Move the slider slowly along the zip, without jerking it. If the zip jams, do not use force—back up the slider, remove the obstruction and try again. After cleaning, maintain the zip with the agent recommended by YKK for AQUASEAL, following the instructions for the specific zip type; do not apply arbitrary grease to the elements. Store the zip completely closed, without folding or crushing it.
7. Storage
Store the waders completely dry, in a well-ventilated place, loosely laid out or hung up, without sharp folds in the material, socks or zip. Protect them from high temperatures: do not leave them in a hot car, beside a heater or in the sun. Do not store wet waders in a sealed bag or container. Heat combined with moisture can accelerate the degradation of materials and joins.
8. Water repellency treatment (DWR)
Regularly check the water-repellent properties of the fabric. If water no longer forms droplets on its surface and begins to soak into the outer fabric, we recommend renewing the DWR treatment. Use only products intended for breathable membrane clothing, according to their maker’s instructions. Avoid products requiring fixing at high temperature. Remember that DWR treatment does not replace the waterproof membrane and is not intended to remedy leaks.
9. Inspection and repairs
Regularly check the condition of the material, joins, socks and zips. Respond to the first signs of wear: abrasions, minor damage, peeling seam tape or leaks. Repair them before further use or contact TAIMEN service. Do not wait until the damage grows. For repairs, use only materials intended for repairing membrane garments or neoprene, depending on the part being repaired.
