Partridge STB Stinger Barbless Fly Hooks

Partridge STB Stinger Barbless is a barbless stinger hook for salmon, sea-trout and steelhead flies. It is intended for tubes, Waddington shanks and other long constructions where the stinger provides the rear hooking point.

Design and use

The hook has a forged round bend, standard wire and a short shank. Its slight offset and up-eye affect how it is attached to a tube or Waddington shank. When tying, keep the rear profile compact and avoid covering the bend with material, particularly when the stinger forms part of a longer salmon or steelhead fly. The barbless format is convenient when unhooking fish.
