Partridge SUD Ideal Dry / BIN Ideal Nymph Fly Hooks

Partridge SUD Ideal Dry / BIN Ideal Nymph is a barbless hook with a longer shank for upwing patterns, dry flies and nymphs. It is particularly suited to dressings with an extended front section, including loop-wing flies where shank length helps organise the body and wing.

Design and use

The longer shank provides room for an elongated body, tail and wing without forcing the materials into one crowded area. When tying, keep sensible spacing between tail, body and wing, and leave clear room near the eye. The hook can be selected for most upwing and loop-wing patterns when a slim, clearly defined silhouette is required. The finish is black nickel.
