Peak Rotary Vise Midge Jaw
Peak Rotary Vise Midge Jaw is a set of profiled replacement jaws for the PEAK Rotary Vise, designed to provide more working room around small hooks. The sculpted tips improve access to the bend and rear of the hook when tying small dry flies, nymphs and other compact patterns. Their main advantage is not simply the ability to grip fine wire, but the extra clearance they provide for controlling thread and positioning materials in a confined area.
The jaws replace the standard component without requiring any modification to the PEAK Rotary Vise. A 3/32-inch hex key for the changeover is included. Once installed, use the vise adjustment nut to apply only the minimum clamping force needed to hold the hook securely. The jaws are made from hardened and tempered tool steel, with a black oxide finish that reduces glare close to the fly. The MDG-1 version does not fit the PEAK non-Rotary Vise, which requires the separate MDG-NR model. The PEAK Rotary Vise itself is not included.
