Peak Rotary Vise Salt Water Jaw
Peak Rotary Vise Salt Water Jaw is a replacement jaw set for the PEAK Rotary Vise, extending its holding range to hooks made from heavier wire. The SLT-1 version is designed specifically for the PEAK Rotary Vise and replaces its standard jaws without requiring any modification to the vise. It is not interchangeable with the jaws made for the PEAK Non-Rotary Vise.
The jaws accept hooks with wire diameters of approximately 0.040–0.075 in (approx. 1.02–1.91 mm), making them suitable for large saltwater patterns and heavy freshwater streamers. They undergo the same hardening and tempering process as PEAK’s standard jaws, while the black oxide finish reduces glare around the fly. Installation uses the included 3/32 in hex key. After fitting the jaws, adjust them to the minimum clamping force that still holds the hook securely, and place the hook reasonably deep between the jaws while leaving enough working space for tying in materials.
