Renegate
Renegate is a classic dry attractor created by Taylor “Beartracks” Williams in the late 1920s. As a visible surface fly, it draws the attention of fish feeding near the surface.
Fish it on a dead drift, particularly in faster or lightly riffled water. Smaller sizes are a good choice when trout and grayling are taking small insects from the surface. The barbless hook makes releasing the fish easier.
