Renzetti Double Ender Midge Hair Stacker
Renzetti Double Ender Midge Hair Stacker is a double-ended hair stacker that combines two working sizes in one compact tool. The Midge version is intended for preparing shorter lengths of hair used in small, slender fly components. Tubes of different diameters let the tier select the end that better matches the material length and the volume of the bunch being aligned.
The aluminum body carries two smooth brass tubes positioned at opposite ends. Their carefully finished interiors allow the fibers to slide freely while the stacker is tapped, rather than catching unnecessarily against the walls. Rubber pads cushion contact with the bench, help protect its surface and keep the tool steadier during use.
A bunch of hair is placed tips down into the selected tube, after which the stacker is tapped gently against a hard surface. The fibers settle to a common line, making it easier to maintain an even edge when the material is removed and prepared for tying onto the hook. The Double Ender construction provides two working capacities without requiring a second stacker.
