Renzetti Midge Dubbing Needle With Half Hitch is a compact, dual-purpose tool designed for detailed work on small flies. The Midge version differs from the standard model through its smaller, shorter needle. Its slim tubular brass body provides a comfortable holding point, while the construction combines a stainless-steel dubbing needle with a half-hitch tool at the opposite end.

The needle can be used to tease and loosen dubbing, separate individual fibres, clear a hook eye, and work precisely with adhesive, head cement or resin. The other end forms a half-hitch and helps slide it towards the hook eye to secure thread or material. This is not a whip finisher: it makes half-hitches rather than the same finishing knot produced with a whip-finishing tool.
