Renzetti Midge Hair Stacker

Renzetti Midge Hair Stacker is a compact hair stacker designed to align the tips of small bunches of material before they are tied onto the hook. The Midge format is intended for preparing hair wings and other components in smaller fly patterns, where working with a limited amount of fibre is more convenient than using a larger stacker.

The tool consists of an aluminium base and one removable brass tube. Its smooth surface allows the hair to slide freely during stacking. Place the material in the tube with the tips facing down, insert the tube into the base and tap the tool gently several times on a hard surface. The fibres move towards the bottom, helping bring their tips into line before the bunch is removed and secured to the fly.
