Spirit River UV2 Marabou

Spirit River UV2 Marabou is a loose, soft feather material made especially for streamer wings. Its fine, fluffy fibres gather into a full profile and move readily in water. The material also suits tails and other soft fly sections that require volume and movement during the retrieve. The UV2 finish increases colour visibility in the ultraviolet range. Select individual feathers according to the length, volume and outline required for the pattern.

Construction and use

Separate the fibres before tying and remove only material that interferes with the intended profile. Secure marabou with moderate thread tension to preserve its loft and mobility. Use a smaller amount for a slimmer wing and build a fuller silhouette gradually. Check the proportions after each added bundle so the finished fly retains its planned shape.
