Spirit River UV2 Rabbit Cross Cut Strips

Spirit River UV2 Rabbit Cross Cut Strips are rabbit fur strips, cut across the direction of the hair. This format is intended mainly for wrapping around the hook shank to form a full, mobile body or head on larger streamers.

Construction and use

Before tying, clear the hair away from the cut edge so it does not become trapped under the thread. Tie the strip in with the hide against the shank and wrap it under even tension; the crosscut makes the fibres sweep back as the strip is wound. Secure the tip with thread and brush the fibres into position to refine the profile.
