Spirit River UV2 Seal X Ice Dubbing combines the Seal-X dubbing effect with multicoloured UV2 and lite-brite fibres. Even a small amount can therefore give a fly several colour accents rather than a single flat shade. That layered appearance is what sets this series apart from simpler d dubbings, adding visual variation to bodies without requiring a complicated tying sequence.

Construction and use

Use it for nymphs, wet flies, larvae, scuds and selected streamers whenever the pattern calls for a fuller, more noticeable thorax or abdomen. The lite-brite element is particularly useful for a chest, hotspot or short accent on the body. Apply small pinches directly to the thread for control; for a more open and lively profile, spin the material in a dubbing loop and brush it after wrapping.
