Stonfo Pinza Elite Hackle Plier Standard
Stonfo Pinza Elite Hackle Plier Standard is distinguished by a spring-loaded, hook-style gripping mechanism rather than conventional opposing jaws. Pressing the round collar exposes the grabber; releasing it retracts the hook into the sleeve and locks the material in its shaped groove. Smooth contact surfaces help reduce the risk of fraying or damaging a delicate feather stem while it is being wound.
The rigid plastic body ends in a large circular finger handle. This arrangement makes it easier to guide the complete tool around the hook shank without repeatedly changing grip, while direct contact with the handle helps the tyer control material tension. The Standard version is intended for hooks from size 16 to 4/0. It can hold cock hackle and CDC feathers as well as microchenille, tinsel and lead wire.
