Stonfo Rotodubbing #1 Y Twister is a revolving dubbing twister distinguished by its Y-shaped head. Its arms engage both sides of a conventional dubbing loop formed from tying thread. Once the material has been placed inside the loop, the tool lets the tier spin it and bind the fibres into a strand ready to be wrapped along the hook shank when forming a fly body.
The revolving mechanism contains an internal ball bearing that supports smooth movement while the loop is being twisted. This makes it easier to increase the density of the strand progressively and control the arrangement of the fibres without abrupt changes in rotation. The Y-shaped head helps guide the loop as spinning begins, while the construction can also handle coarser dubbing or longer synthetic fibres that require a more pronounced twist.
