Taimen Menza Breathable Waders

Taimen Menza are breathable waders designed for regular fishing, long walks along the water and everyday use in varied terrain. The model combines moderate weight, good breathability and a construction focused on durability in the areas that work hardest in waders.

The waders are made from a 3-layer breathable laminate in the RIVULUS® PRO LIGHT standard. This is a lighter profile within the PRO standard – designed for anglers who expect high wearing comfort but do not want to give up practical durability. The nylon outer layer gives the fabric stability, higher abrasion resistance and a more robust feel when wading, walking and coming into contact with banks, stones and vegetation.

The key feature of the Menza model is the SeamSavvy® Sonic seam construction. In Menza, a seam does not start with a needle hole. It starts with the bonding of the material. The laminate panels are joined ultrasonically, creating a flat, continuous connection without perforating the membrane. Only then is sealing tape applied from the inside. In practice, the tape does not rescue a classic punctured seam – it reinforces a connection that has already been made as a sealed, non-perforated structure at the welding stage.

The placement of the joins is just as important. SeamSavvy® is not only about reducing the number of seams – it is a complete seam map designed around the natural movement of the body. In the Menza model, seams are routed so that they do not fall in areas where the fabric is regularly compressed, folded or twisted during use.

On the legs, the only join runs at the front. As a result, when the knee bends, the seam works with the leg instead of being crushed in the fold. At hip level, the joins move to the sides of the body – outside the areas of greatest bending and fabric compression. In practice, this means that there is no place in the Menza construction where a seam is constantly crushed by natural body movement. This significantly reduces tape fatigue, lowers the risk of leaks and increases construction durability without the need to add heavy, armour-like layers of fabric.

The outer layer of the laminate is finished with DWR, which reduces water absorption from the outside and helps water run off the fabric surface. This helps maintain comfort, reduces chilling and supports proper breathability during long fishing sessions.
