Taimen River Sink Tip V Fly Line WF-F/S5 Olive/Black
Taimen River Sinking Tip V WF-F/S5 Olive/Black is a fly line combining a floating weight-forward profile with a class V sinking tip. It takes the fly into deeper or faster water while retaining a floating rear section. The line was designed with fly control in flowing water in mind. Its main section is olive, with a black sinking tip.
Profile and fishing use
The WF profile has a defined head and a thinner running line, while only the tip sinks below the surface. The floating rear section remains available for line management and mending during the presentation. This combination is useful when the fly needs to work deeper but the angler still wants to control the rest of the fly line from the surface.
- Profile: WF-F/S5 floating line with a class V sinking tip
- Tip sink rate: 5–5.5 ips, approximately 12.7–14 cm/s
- Construction: braided multifilament nylon core, PVC coating, low stiffness and a factory loop
- Length and colour: 30 m; olive main line with a black tip
- Family range: line weights 4 to 7
On the water, the olive floating section can be repositioned while the black tip works below the surface. The contrasting colours provide a clear reference for the change between the two sections. The stated sink rate applies to the tip itself rather than the complete line. Select the appropriate weight from the 4–7 family range to suit the rod and intended setup.
