Textreme Brill Lg

Textreme Brill Lg is chenille with fibres approximately 12 mm long, intended for medium and larger flies and streamers. Its fine core holds the fibres during winding, while their greater length creates a fuller, mobile outline. The material is supplied as a 3 m length, allowing multiple bodies to be made with a consistent construction.

Construction and use

Move the fibres aside over a short section and expose the core before tying in. Secure the core with thread, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns on the hook shank, sweeping the long fibres back before each turn. Keep the tension even so the body retains its shape. At the finishing point, expose and tie down the core, then trim or shape the fibres with scissors to match the fly profile.
