Textreme Gummy Chenille
Textreme Gummy Chenille is chenille made from shiny elastic fibres stabilised on a fine core. It forms a flexible, rubber-like body with pronounced movement, making it useful for worm-style flies, large nymphs, streamers and bulky Blob patterns.
Construction and use
Select the width according to the scale of the fly: a narrower chenille builds a slimmer body, while a wider version adds volume quickly. Secure the core when tying in, then wind the material in adjacent turns while controlling the position of the elastic fibres. For worm-style patterns, lightly glue the cut end to help prevent it from coming apart. The material can be wound along the shank or used for a single body segment.
