Textreme Ice Chenille
Textreme Ice Chenille is a dense chenille made with translucent fibres firmly held in its core. When wound, it creates a full, reflective body for flies requiring substantial coverage, including Blob patterns and streamers.
Construction and use
Choose the size according to the proportions of the pattern: a smaller version builds a more compact body, while a larger one covers the hook shank faster and produces a broader profile. Expose a short section of the core, tie it in, and wind the chenille in adjacent turns. Sweep the fibres back before each turn so they remain free rather than becoming trapped underneath. Use it for Blob bodies, streamer segments and other patterns that call for a dense, bright-looking surface.
- Form: dense chenille on a core.
- Finish: translucent fibres with a reflective sheen.
- Selection: match the size to the required body width.
- Uses: Blobs, streamers and bulky fly bodies.
