Textreme Micro Cactus (Size 0.8)
Textreme Micro Cactus (Size 0.8) is the thinnest version of Cactus Chenille, supplied on a spool. It is intended for nymph bodies and thin streamer bodies for small trout. The reduced size makes it suitable for smaller patterns where a heavier chenille could overwhelm the profile. It can also be combined with other chenilles when a defined ribbing or contrasting body element is required on a larger streamer.
Construction and use
Use it like chenille by wrapping it around the hook shank to build the body from successive turns. When combining materials, its narrow format allows it to work as a distinct ribbing on larger streamer patterns. At the vise, keep the turns evenly spaced and avoid overlap when you want the material to remain clearly defined. Secure the end with tying thread before cutting it, especially when finishing a body or changing materials.
