Textreme Standard (3/0) Fly Tying Thread
Textreme Standard (3/0) is a conventional fly-tying thread made with parallel bonded filaments. Its construction offers useful tensile strength in relation to its size and makes the thread easy to control at the vise. Version 3/0 is intended for large imitations for big trout and bass. It is also suitable for forming thin, even bodies and closing heads when a more substantial tying thread is appropriate. The range includes 36 colors, both natural and fluorescent, allowing the shade to be matched to the pattern. When tying, keep the pull consistent and take advantage of the parallel structure so successive wraps settle evenly instead of accumulating unnecessary twist.
Construction and use
This is a standard bonded fly-tying thread, here in the 3/0 designation. Use it for larger imitations, controlled body formation and head finishing. The 3/0 marking identifies the product version; it is not a direct measurement of diameter or breaking strength.
