Textreme Suede Chenille
Textreme Suede Chenille is a very dense, round chenille with a compact construction. It builds a full fly body without requiring numerous additional layers, and its profile also makes it suitable for ribbing medium to large flies.
Construction and use
Before tying it in, move the fibres aside over a short section to expose the core. Secure the core to the hook shank, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn. Choose the material width to suit the required body profile: its dense form can produce slimmer sections as well as broader bodies. Secure the core at the end and trim away the waste.
- Form: very dense chenille with a round profile.
- Finish: plain surface with no stated UV, holographic or fluorescent effect.
- Uses: San Juan worm-style bodies, nymphs and streamers.
- Application: it can also be used as ribbing on larger fly patterns.
