Textreme Super Ice Chenille

Textreme Super Ice Chenille is a dense chenille made with translucent fibres, intended for broad, strongly reflective fly bodies. It suits Blob patterns as well as streamer bodies where a full profile and changing reflection are required.

Construction and use

Expose a short section of the core, secure it to the hook shank and wind the material in adjacent turns. Sweep the fibres back before every turn so they remain clear of the next wrap. Select a narrower profile for smaller bodies and a broader one for larger, heavier constructions. Once the body is formed, secure the core and trim the waste. The translucent fibres may be kept at full length or tidied with scissors.
