Textreme Super UV Chenille
Textreme Super UV Chenille is a dense chenille combining translucent and UV-reactive fibres. It builds full fly bodies, particularly Blob patterns and streamers, when a compact shape with an additional response under UV light is wanted.
Construction and use
Begin by moving the fibres aside over a short section to expose the core. Tie the core to the hook shank, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn. Select the material width to match the fly size and required body volume. Finish by securing the core; loose fibres can be evened with scissors. A UV effect means response to or reflection of UV radiation, not glowing in darkness.
- Form: dense chenille with a core intended for winding.
- Finish: translucent fibres with a UV effect.
- Uses: Blob bodies, streamers and other full-bodied flies.
- Working method: it is wound in compact, adjacent turns along the hook shank.
