Textreme Twisted (8/0) Fly Tying Thread
Textreme Twisted (8/0) is a specialist fly-tying thread made from high-tenacity twisted filament. Its construction combines a fine tying profile with substantial resistance to tension, making it suitable for controlled work on smaller and medium-sized flies. The 8/0 version is particularly intended for thin bodies and head closures, with hooks from #14 to #24. The twisted structure is also useful when a dubbing loop is needed without reaching for a separate twister.
Construction and use
The two twisted ends can be opened, allowing dubbing or another suitable material to be placed between them before the thread is used as a loop. When released, the separated filaments return almost automatically to their original twisted position. This makes the thread practical for building bodies, abdomen sections and other components that benefit from controlled material distribution, as well as for neat head finishes. Keep steady tension while tying so the twist remains predictable and the loop is easy to control.
