Tiemco TMC 2487 BL Fly Hooks

Tiemco TMC 2487 BL is a barbless hook for floating nymphs, shrimp, scuds and caddis pupae. Its short shank and wide gape suit compact, full-bodied patterns where the dressing should remain rounded rather than elongated.

Design and use

The 2X-short shank and 2X-wide gape create a broad working area with a relatively short body length. This geometry fits rounded scuds, shrimp, caddis pupae and compact floating nymphs. Fine wire keeps the hook unobtrusive in lighter patterns and allows the dressed proportions to remain compact. The bronze finish works with natural fly colours, while the barbless point is practical for handling and releasing fish. Leave the point and gape clear when building a bulky body.
