Tiemco TMC 900 BL Fly Hooks

Tiemco TMC 900 BL is a barbless, forged hook for dry flies. Its wide gape, semidropped point and stronger construction make it suitable for surface patterns ranging from smaller imitations to larger flies used for powerful fish.

Design and use

The 1XF wire keeps the platform light, while the 1X-wide gape provides more room between shank and point. The semidropped point turns slightly outward and the deep throat supports balanced placement of the body and hackle. This geometry works for classic dry flies, patterns with generous hackle and larger dressings that need an open gape. The black finish remains discreet in darker patterns. As a barbless hook, it is also suited to fishing where straightforward unhooking is part of the handling routine.
