Uni Micro Tinsel 6/0

UNI Micro Tinsel 6/0 is a very fine round tinsel for small and miniature fly patterns. Its 6/0 designation identifies the delicate size, allowing the tier to add segmentation without overwhelming the proportions of a small hook. Each spool contains twelve yards of material. Despite its fine profile, it can function as both a visible design detail and a precise rib that reinforces the finished fly.

Construction and use

Choose Micro Tinsel when standard tinsel is too large for a nymph, wet fly or other compact pattern. It is also useful on delicate dry flies, where a slim body and restrained material weight matter. The round profile tracks neatly around the body; wind it with moderate, consistent tension and secure it with a minimal thread dam. Cut the waste with a fine cutter after the tie-off so the closely placed turns stay in position.
