UNI-Products UNI-Tray II Thread Spool Organizer

Uni Tray II is a storage and dispensing box for fly-tying materials supplied on spools. Its lightweight plastic body opens on a hinge, giving the fly tier an organised selection of materials beside the vice while keeping the spools together between tying sessions.

Foam inserts are fitted in both the top and bottom halves. Each insert accommodates 18 spools, providing a total capacity of 36. The layout is useful for arranging thread, floss, tinsel and other spooled materials by type, colour or size, while helping to keep loose working ends under control.

To load a spool, remove the tag end from the nick in the spool rim, place the spool into one of the apertures in the foam and leave a short end protruding. The required length can then be drawn directly from the stored spool. This avoids repeatedly returning the end to the rim nick and may reduce material damage and waste during regular use.
