Uni Thread 6/0 200 yds - Waxed
Uni Thread 6/0 is a waxed fly-tying thread made from continuous polyester filaments. It wraps flat on the hook and provides a stable foundation for attaching materials and shaping a controlled body profile. This is the slightly heavier version of the 8/0 thread, making it particularly useful for larger flies, including patterns tied on hooks in sizes 8–18. It is also suited to deer-hair work such as Muddler patterns. The waxed surface helps materials stay in place during successive wraps. Use moderate, consistent bobbin tension so the thread keeps its flat lay instead of bunching into unnecessary ridges.
Construction and use
This is a general-purpose polyester thread for firm material control and body shaping on larger fly patterns. The 6/0 marking identifies the product version; it should not be treated as a direct measurement of diameter or breaking strength.
