Wapsi Barred Pine Squirrel Skin Zonked

Wapsi Barred Pine Squirrel Skin Zonked is pine-squirrel skin pre-cut lengthwise into zonker strips. Its contrasting barring combines a streamer tail, wing or back material with a strip that can be secured along the shank.

Construction and use

Each zonker strip has a thin skin backing, so even the strip and comb the fibres toward their tips before tying. A longitudinally cut strip can be used as a tail, wing or back, with the hide anchored at selected points along the hook shank. When working with short sections, use controlled thread wraps to avoid damaging the hide.
