Wapsi Bead Chain Eyes

Wapsi Bead Chain Eyes are bead-chain eyes for streamers and saltwater flies. Cut the chain into pairs of beads and tie each pair crosswise to the hook shank to form lightweight, symmetrical eyes with a reflective finish.

Construction and use

Cut a pair of beads from the chain and place it perpendicular to the shank. Make firm thread wraps on both sides of the connection to reduce rotation, then secure the tying. Bead chain is lighter than dumbbell eyes and suits patterns that need an eye profile with little ballast. Choose the bead size and finish to match the proportions of the pattern; metallic surfaces reflect light. Each package contains approximately 45 cm (18 inches) of chain.
