Wapsi Gummi Flash Foil
Wapsi Gummi Flash Foil is a very thin, flexible sheet with a reflective flash finish. It is intended for application over foam or setting resin and is designed to work with Gummi Skin. Use it to add a reflective surface to bodies, backs, or other shaped fly components. As a cuttable sheet, it can be trimmed to the exact width and outline required by the pattern rather than being tied in at a fixed size.
Construction and use
Cut the required piece with sharp scissors, preferably while the sheet is still supported by its backing when a backing is present. Position it over the foam or setting resin and conform it carefully to the curve of the surface. On a foam body, work from one end and smooth the foil progressively to keep the overlay neat and reduce creasing. When combining it with Gummi Skin, use the foil as the reflective layer beneath or over the appropriate body surface according to the pattern construction. Check the alignment and edges before the resin fully sets or the body is closed.
