Wapsi Mink Zonkers

Wapsi Mink Zonkers (1) are longitudinally cut mink-fur strips for slim streamer wings, tails and backs. The soft fur is suited to components laid lengthwise along the hook shank.

Construction and use

Before tying, part the fur at the tie-in point to expose the skin, then prepare an end to suit the planned component. Lay the strip lengthwise along the shank with the skin facing the hook and secure it with tying thread at one or more points. Control the thread tension to avoid shortening the fur excessively and to retain its natural direction.

• Material: mink-fur strip with soft fur.
• Cut: longitudinal, following the direction of the fur.

• Mounting: secure at points along the shank, from the skin side.
