Wapsi Mylar Cord Small
Wapsi Mylar Cord Small is hollow braided reflective tubing for slim fly bodies. Its braided construction creates a metallic sheen and a pronounced light-reflecting surface for baitfish imitations, streamers and smaller baitfish-style patterns. Choose the Small size by matching it to the prepared underbody diameter and the body profile you want to create.
Construction and use
Slide the cord over a smooth underbody, leaving enough material beyond the front and rear tie-in points. Stretching narrows and lengthens the braid, while compression widens it, so the underbody determines the finished body shape. Tie the cord securely at both ends, trim the excess and bind the cut edges with thread to prevent fraying. This produces a slim, even streamer body or bright baitfish imitation that follows the contours of the prepared underbody.
