Wapsi Nutria is a fur patch containing nutria underfur and longer guard hairs. It can be used for dubbing, fur blends, collars, and other soft fly details where a mixture of short fibres and visible guard hairs is useful.

Construction and use

Cut a small section from the patch or pull out the amount needed for the pattern. The underfur can be twisted in a dubbing loop or directly onto the thread, while some guard hairs may be left in the mix to extend from the body surface. Remove loose skin and align the fibres before use, then build the dubbing in short sections for better control over the body shape.
