Wapsi Pearl Chenille Large

Wapsi Pearl Chenille Large is a dense, chenille for building broad bodies on flies and streamers. Its construction produces a full profile quickly as successive turns are wound along the hook shank. The pearlescent, iridescent surface changes its reflection as the fly moves through the water.

Construction and use

Tie the material in by its core, preferably after exposing a short section at the end, then wind it in adjacent turns. Control the tension and sweep fibres back before each turn so they are not trapped between the wraps. The Large version is intended for more substantial bodies and can be used on large streamers when a pronounced, full profile is required.
