Wapsi Pearl Chenille Medium

Wapsi Pearl Chenille Medium is a strong, dense chenille built on a core, intended to be wound on a hook shank. It builds a full, medium-profile body on a fly or streamer, while the pearl finish gives the surface an iridescent appearance. The material suits standard bodies as well as compact body sections that need a solid structure.

Construction and use

Expose a short section of the chenille core at the end and secure it to the shank. After forming the underlying thread base, wind the material with even tension and keep the turns close together. Sweeping the fibres back before each turn helps maintain a clean body. The Medium version is useful when a defined profile is required without moving to the broadest chenille size.
